Apps :: no gcc found
Hi, is assume this is a C-compiler. I just wanted to use abiword typing ./configure. There appear an error message there is no usable C compiler.
- DSL offers tcc. How can I use it?
- Have I to download gcc? It s about 30MB
why do you want to compile?
abiword.dsl in MyDSL Repository is a precompiled binary
It's my understanding that *very late has a harddrive install of DSL. In this case, I'd personally prefer installing from source as well.
I know nothing about tcc, so I can't help there. If you want to use gcc, then yeah...you'll need to download quite a bit.
It's my understanding that DSL is ment as a liveCD
if you want harddisk install go for the real debian or bonzai, then you dont have to ask for a the extra things to spoil the beuaty of DSL
sorry if i sound rude.
My previous debian testing did more problems with this old computer.
I decided to learn using DSL as hd install and I am surprised how well it runs even I have to go to a friend to download certain packages sometimes.
It does not matter my DSL installation gets a little bit "fatter" when installing some extra packages.
How do I install gcc after the "unpack"?
Just "./configure" or something like that?
