User Feedback :: wheres make?
kay. i edited my post.
im using a hdinstall of dsl and i need make and gcc. the only problem is that i dont have a connection to the internet so i cant apt-get. is there anyway i can just download it to my windows partition and do the rest in linux and mount the windows partition such as a website or file? i have the drivers for my wireless usb modem already working in windows but im trying to get it to work in linux and the drivers i have require make and gcc. any suggestions?
What the hell are you running? What version? 0.6.3? Are you running from the CD or a hdinstall? If you knew you were gonna need the driver, why didn't you pre-compile before you installed (that's ing hilarious)?
whoops...
Try doing a search for the word 'make', this topic is all over the forum. Being a 50MB live CD DSL doesn't have room for make and gcc, however they can be added via apt-get.
