Multimedia :: RealPlayer won't install...

Im trying to add RealPlayer to the mix, so I can watch BBC News etc...

So I downloaded the RealPlayer10GOLD.rpm and tried the standard =
sudo su
cd /dsl/home/
rpm -ivh *.rpm

and it gives me the finger!  :p

Then I figured out dsl is a debian linux instead of  just the fedora-like stuff I've been having a lot of luck with...  So I downloaded:
realplayer_10.0.5-0.1_i386.deb package as well..

Where am I going wrong here?  Any ideas or quick howto to send me in the right direction?

Many thanks in advance...

Margni

If you be havin' enabled apt (Apps >> Tools >> Enable APT), do this

dpkg -i <whatever>.deb

-Dread Pirate J.P.

There is a Real*.bin file for download,
that works well with DSL as an installer..

Might give it a try..
