Multimedia :: xmms no sound from audio CD

I have DSL installed on a HD and cannot play an oudio CD with xmms.
Sound card and xmms works fine with other distro. What can I do?

What sound card do you have? (lspci -v)
Did you try alsa (and/or with sndconfig, etc)?
Did you turn your volume up?
