HD Install :: Removing NES from HD Install

How much space will this chop off my HD install ?

I know john said that its compressed a lot on the CD but does it stay compressed on the HD install ?

P.S. can i also remove other programs from the DSL install such as, paint, glinks, dillo ?

Im interested in this also, Anyone know how we can remove programs that arent listed in dpkg?

rm /directoryname/filename

is the only way that I know of.

The delete command in MC or Emelfm works too.
