HD Install :: Installing DSL to HDD

Ok - I'm looking at trying to install this onto the HDD... I've read through the Wiki and the FAQ and a little confused.

I have about 4 or 5 gig un-partioned... deliberately for the time I would put Linux onto the machine as well.
Do I need to run fdisk or cfdisk ((<-- whatever that is)) or can I jump straight into the HDD install with this thing? Would it look in the un-partioned section or would it try install on-top of my current setup?!

Still haven't found out how to install it to my HDD

Running fdisk or cfdisk it says it cannot find /dev/hda
Is there a boot option I need to run so it detects the HDD?!

If I do a Debian Install of this...

Is it still possible to re-make this as an ISO file still?

You need to run cfdisk in a terminal to make partitions of the free space.
You should see it in the cfdisk list as "free space." After you select the free space you will see menus at the bottom of the terminal that should guide you along. You can choose a size for your partitions one at a time intill you have used up the free space. Do a google search on making and formatting partitions in Linux to get complete details.

Ahhh - k.. - just wasn't sure what would happen and stuff...

Also saw a post in another section stating I need to mount the drives and how to do it...
