HD Install :: installing (just copy)

Is it possible to download DSL, then extract it and place it on a LINUX partition, and then boot it? (i know there's something to be done to make it actually boot DSL, but what??:D)
Yes.  The partition must be ext2 filesystem (boot fails on reiser).
You'll need to mount the ISO file and copy the boot and KNOPPIX directories onto the root of the partition.  If you already have a linux-compatable bootloader or boot manager installed, it should then be a simple matter of adding that system to the bootloader's configuration file.  The kernel is boot/isolinux/linux24, and the initrd is boot/isolinux/minirt24
