HD Install :: AST Ascentia 950N

I'm thinking of putting linux on this laptop which i'm getting from a friend!
AST Ascentia 950N Laptop Pentium 90MHZ, however i presume it is in the 400MB range,8MB ram,has floppy and no cd drive.
Which will D.S.L work.

You need more RAM

16MB of RAM is the realistic minium needed to run DSL.

If you can't find more memory, then you could take a look at http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/baslinux/
