HD Install :: NEED help

whenever i boot dsl it says hdb: lost interrupt

r1y23, what happens if you type: "knoppix nodma" or "knoppix noauto" at the boot prompt?

I have windows 98 on my PC (Compaq Presario 4540, AMD K6 233mhz and 48 Ram with 2gb HD) and I want to install DSL simulitinously with win 98 but I don't have a clue how to do it.

I have no knowledge at all about Linux, so plz be gentil with ur answers!

Do you have a zip drive on your machine? I do and was going crazy trying to stop the problem. Nothing was working. Then I found a post by a kind soul that mentioned that he got around the problem by plugging in a zip disk.

I tried it and it worked!

If you have a zip drive, give it a shot. HTH
