HD Install :: Installed DSL on HD READ ONLY CANt Edit

hy everyone monkey seems to be running fine except that i cant change the conf files , and i cant change the index.html file which are located on the /root/monkey-0.6.3 / folders -------because they are read only

also make sure you aren't trying to edit them while the server is running. I think they get locked by the OS. But , I may be wrong!

Those files are by default, owned by, and only writeable by root. You will either need to be logged on as root or sudo your editor to be able to modify the files.
