HD Install :: DSL not booting from HDD

I installed DSL 1.2 on my old P3 500 mhz pc. Hard disk 1.2 GB. I booted from the DSL disc and when DSL was up, I went through the HD install. It completed successfuly and the bootloader (default) was wrtten successfully.

Now, when I try to boot DSL without the CD, it comes up with the bootloader, and when I press enter to boot DSL it just comes up with a blank/black screen. Nothing happens at all.

Please help.

Newest version is 1.3 ---MAYBE the 1.3 works?

There is most likely a problem with your Lilo configuration. If you can copy the /etc/lilo.conf file here, I may be able to help.
