HD Install :: up12: missing partition boot sector

I've downloaded the iso 1.1 and I keep getting this message
and the cd does not boot. Help!

Please explain in detail how you got the DSL iso, what software you burned it to the CD with, what the computer's details are, ... and other things that can be helpful for us to understand your situation.

Offhand, I'd say the iso image was not burned properly. Can you read the contents of the CD using Windows? Do you see at least the folders Knoppix and boot?

I am downloading the iso file, then dragging the file into the burn
file area with Nero Burning Rom 6. All I see is the iso file when finished. This does seem wrong. I don't see a knoppix folder or a MBR folder. I must be burning this incorrectly! I will look at Nero to see what the procedure is. I did start to think this was the problem after my posting. I'm trying to load an HP Vectra v1400. 800 mhz with 256 megs of ram. 20 gig hd.

I've just successfully burned the image. I was just burning the iso image file on to my cds. In Nero its 'recorder' then 'burn image'. I was
using the wizard and choosing cd(iso) and thinking that was burning the image. I was just burning the file onto the cd every time. I now have all the folders and it boots.
