HD Install :: Frugal_lite install

I began to do a fugal_lite install to an old pc that has no cdrom. Everything was going swimmingly until I came to run the frugal_lite script. suddenly I got a "permission denied" error.
Could someone tell me how to go over this and make the script run.

I'm logged on as root and I have simply followed each step as setout in the tutorial. The only departure I made was to precreate the harddisk partitions with partition magic. But they seemed to format ok using dsl.

chmod 755 name_of_script_file

should do the trick.
