HD Install :: Re-Install

I don't like grub. My lilo.conf I write totally from scratch, except for the last few lines that lead to empty Win drives. I've never been able to get grub to work right. Besides, lilo is faster & cleaner, more in a DOS screen than all the show. The only one I can't get on lilo is Mepis, but I know this time how to use Gag45 to boot it. Thanks anyway.

I moved DamnSmallLinux closer to the frount of the drive. It has to be low on the HD to work proper. I put it on hda8 & moved everything else. Now all of them work off the DSL lilo.conf.. I like it better. It's in DOS format no pics or frills, just the names in a little graph box. Now, hopefully if I don't screw things up. Setup is perfect. I'll play around with Mepis more & let you know what I think. I also run Xandros, Ubuntu & Linspire. This is the first time I've got them all to work with dsl's lilo. I wrote the lilo mostly by hand and use folders for the other OSs in "/mnt/" with the proper files in them. Hell, I'm scared to play with it now. I just know I'll screw something up. Wish me luck for at least a few weeks.
