HD Install :: HD Install.

I installing DSL in may HD 6G PC amd700 640ram... bicous my 486 not hav bios bot from CD...

Befor i chang de disc to a 486... restart and hav a next problem:

Vfs:cannot open root device "341" or 03:41
please append a correct "root"=boot option
kernel panic:vfs unable to mount root fso n 03:41

In may AMD700 it work fun! (good)

maybi 486 not compatible wit HD 6G and i wont find andaer HD mor small, 1-2G??

Please make sure that your HD is installed in the same location on your AMD computer as your 486 computer.

If you wish to use the hard drive as MASTER drive on the PRIMARY ide controller, then make sure that is it also connected to this place in your AMD computer during the installation process.

For small capacity hard drives, if you should need one, go to sunstarco.com. You can find plenty there but they might be pricy. Better off finding a local used parts store.
