Hi. I have a floppy install of dsl 0.9.2. Whenever I start up the computer and select Linux from the Lilo menu, I get a message that goes something like this:
Quote
You passed an undefined mode number. Please press return to see video modes avaliable or press space to skip
I have searched the forums and found this, but I have not found the right answer. I use Xvesa for my color and resolution needs, but if I choose the right video mode, will this allow me to use a higher resolution?Boot with this command:
dsl vga=normal xsetup
This will stop these messages and let you choose your xwindows resolution. How do I do that when I have a hd install? And I already have settings with Xvesa in xsetup.sh...Then you'd probably need to do 'sudo xsetup.sh'That's not my question, I already know how to change res/color depth. My question was if I choose the right video mode number, would my computer be able to support a greater resolution?Next Page...
