HD Install :: Keboard settings lost after new boot from HD

I've installed DSL on a CF-HD. When I change the keboard settings to Swiss German it works after restarting XWindow. After restarting the system (new boot) the settings are lost and the default settings (US) are active.
How can I save the settings permanently ?

Put the command in /opt/bootlocal.sh, at least that works in a normal HD install.

what should i put in /opt/bootlocal.sh ? lang=de doesn't work (in my case i want german layout)

edit: or can i add this parameter to lilo.conf? (didn't get it work)

loadkeys /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/(the one you choose)
