HD Install :: ...and another thing...

I did the hd install script which worked perfectly, thanks for that. I have whittled down my bios to under 4 seconds, and am wondering what can be done to speed up the boot time. Obviously not starting services that I won't be using will help, but I could use a little guidance with this. Other distros have a sample file of build options, is there one here? Thanks again.

You could skip the autodetection.

If your installed hardware doesn't change then there is no reason to run the autodetection stuff when you boot.

Try searching the forums for autodetecion
