HD Install :: Hard drive install

I cant seem to get dsl to install to the hard drive its an old pc with a 1 gig hard drive. I dont no why the install isnt working. So i am pretty shere i am just not doing it right. Wich brings me to may question. Exzacly how do i install it.

When i serched the forum all i found was more specific stuff but it wasnt much help.
