HD Install :: DSL in less than 50 megs ?
Hi guys ...
Im new to DSL.
I want to setup a web server.
This is config :
P-1 MMX 200
64 mb ram
100 meg hdd.
Basically, i just want DSL running apache.
I dont need any other softwares. I dont even need X.
Please advise.
Thanx
First install apache
Then
remove all thinges you dont need it
[you sayed you will run only apache , so you will not be scard if you delet any thinges else]
when you finsh its willl be less then 50 MB
thats all
if you do a hd install of dsl it will be more the 290Mb
the 50Mb is a compressed iso
either that or remake the cd distro (we are currently trying to do this) and strip everything that is unneeded...this way we have a true "core" distro...then just add apache.dsl to the .iso and it will autoload it...then just run it frugal install and you will be good to go...

I cant install and then remove stuff, cause the hdd is only 100mb
And how can i remake the boot ?
If i copy everything on my other pc from the iso ?
then how can i make my 100 mb hdd bootable and run this customised version on it.
Please help me out.
