HD Install :: where to find boot.img

Hi, I'm trying to install dsl on my laptop (no cdrom).
I transferred the content of the cd to the c: partition using a parallel cable.
in the 'manual' to install from floppy, it mentions to copy boot.img to a floppy using rawrite.exe.
but there is no boot.img on the cd.
there is a directory 'boot' which contains isolinux and there is a directory 'knoppix' which contains 1 file, called 'KNOPPIX'.
I searched the forum, but I don't find the anwer.
any suggestions?
I already tried tomsrtbt, but each floppy I try it with fails. both from windows and from linux.

any ideas?
I might be able to use loadlin, but when I tried that with the files from isolinux, I got a CRC error followed by 'System halted'

If you have access to a adapter to plug your laptop hard drive into a regular IDE cable, that works real good. I also have no cdrom in my laptop, so I just pop the hard drive out plug it into one of my test machines, load the latest version of DSL, do a little configuration, then plug it back into the laptop, and your'e done. When a new version comes out I can have it on my laptop in about 20 minutes. I picked up my adapter from a local computer store for about $5.00.

OK.. do you mean that you copy the iso image from the CD to the laptop hard drive through a USB port on your desktop?

First he is talking about a cable that connects your laptop hdd to a regular old IDE slot. About $7 at Fry's or Micro Center.

After you get that, just fire up DSL and do a regular Install to Hard Disk.

Swap the hdd back into your laptop and you should be good to go!
