HD Install :: kernel

here is the problem when i try to boot dsl
Filesystem type is ext2fs, partition type 0x83
> Kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.26-xfs root=/dev/hda2
> error 15: file not found.

what is the right kernel to use to boot this multi os machine.

what version of DSL are you using?

0.8.x doesn't use the same boot image as older versions.

something to do with switching to isolinux, i think

version 8.1 the lastest version. i downloaded about 3 weeks ago.

should the kernel filename be linux24?
