HD Install :: MediaVision Pro Audio Spectrum 16 Sound card query

Hi, my MediaVision Pro Audio Spectrum 16 Sound card does not boot with the hard disk install of DSL.

I get the following messages printed on the screen:

Found SCSI devices loaded by pas16.o

Probing IDE-SOFTRAID ... pcraid.o

at which point it crashes, with the 'Caps Lock' and 'Scroll Lock' flashing on and off

Any suggestions?

You got a kernel panic.. uh-oh.

It doesn't look like its a problem with your sound card, but rather with your ide raid or scsi controller. Try booting with the cheatcode "failsafe".

Hi ^thehatsrule^ : the scsi controller is on the sound card; was working ok on Windows 98; will try your tip , though.

Oh interesting, never seen one of those before.

You could also try "noscsi".
