HD Install :: How to install Open Office

Hello there!

I am kinda new here.
I've managed to install DSL, piece of cake, but I have downloaded Open Office too and I'm looking at the *.tar.gz, I don/t know how to use it.

What do I have to do to install it?

best regards

From the repository page:
Use Instructions:
If downloaded with the desktop icon, simply click desktop icon or select menu item.
To load interactively use emelfm myDSL button, or the command line mydsl-load.
For automatic bootup loading, copy to the / of your boot media
For on demand boot loading, copy to the myDSL partition and use mydsl=hdXY boot option.

I've been using the uci version of open office and finding it works great.  It hardly uses any memory at all.  On my old wreck of a machine, that's a very good thing.
Sorry to aks but what's "uci version of open office"?

best regards
