HD Install :: HD installed ???
no, using cfdisk doesnt not alter your BIOS settings.
Usually on bootup, you can press DEL or F2, etc. to enter CMOS Setup.
Thanks thr, I am able to access my bios and chang, but it still does not see hdb, but with cfdisk, it shows hdb1 boot ext2 primary 319.90mb
hdb5 logical 1791.89mb
having searched, I am unable to determine what procedure I have missed.???, of course my brain is getting a little fogged at this point.
I find the gag boot loader very easy to setup and boot a mixed environment. Once I have gag I don't even need to change BIOS to select boot from floppy, boot from floppy is a default gag selection. On one of my test machines.
hda1 windows 98
hda5 Linux Swap
...
hda10 Mydsl
hda12 DSL Traditional hard drive install
hdc1 DSL Frugal
You may want to try it.
Thanks Roberts, I'll look into GAG.
Okay, in BIOS there's probably something like "Change boot order", etc. where you can change what gets booted first.
Of course this is 1 way to do this, but did you try any others?
