HD Install :: howto avoid "regenerate cache.ld.so and modules.de
Hi there
on my single board pcs I managed to get DSL on the hd. Now every time I boot the system, I get this
Quote
Running from HD, regenerate cache.ld.so and modules.dep
Since that takes quite some time, I am looking for a way to get rid of this. I do not see a reason why it should regenerate cache.ld.so and especially modules.dep every time. When done, the systems will not be touched any more.
Any Ideas?
ChrisI have automated this for faster booting. It only happens once. It will be in v3.2.
For your exisiting hard drive install you can just comment out the lines 379-383 in /etc/init.d/knoppix-autoconfigthz m8, this realy helped for me :thumbs-up:Excellent tip, thanks!
