HD Install :: Cannot Shut Down DSL
friends I have found out from where that 'free' comes from
which is causing so much of a problem
seems the file in /etc/sysconfig/mydsl contains
'free' upteen times. the file lenght as shown is 72320. That shows that the file has corrupted. Now I want to know what this file should contain ?
Anyone can help me.
Cause this is 'mydsl' I cannot expect to get information from anywhere else except this forum.
That is the cloop map file. It is used for all mount type extensions.
That map file is re-generated upon each boot to a pristine state.
If you are experiencing corruption within a single use session that would suggest hardware, disk drive, issues.
Have you recently used fsck on the drive?
The other possibility is that you are using an old v1.x version of DSL which at one time had a bug concerning the map file.
If you are still using v1.x PLEASE upgrade to the latest.
Many new features as well as bug fixes have occured. See Notes section for past change logs.
