HD Install :: MyDSL no work
Installed DSL3.1 RC3 to my hard drive. Everything starts up just fine. I go to use the MyDSL Extension tool...everything is fine, except when I tell it to install. A window pops up and asks what temp directory to use. I go with the default. Then, nothing happens. The popup window disappears and that's it. No download, nothing. What gives?

If it's a small download, it will be finished quite quickly - check your desktop or menu>mydsl if they're installed (assuming they come with those entries).
not the kind of reply I was looking for.......I'll just switch distros
ass.
Could also be that you need to select your file to download again? I assume the temp directory dialog is a very new addition to DSL, meaning it was implemented in the RC line (also known as "release candidate", also known as "not meant for general use", also known as "don't expect everything to work as desired"). It might be similar to the way the links script works....if you don't have links it downloads and installs, but then you have to start links yourself.
