HD Install :: make the Backup/Restore include ALL my desktop pre

On my "Simple" style desktop, I have the following preferences:
8 Workspaces
various Shells
no fluxter
etc.

I did a Backup followed by a reboot.

My Simple desktop was Restored but I still have the following defaults:
4 Workspaces
no Shells
fluxter
etc.

How do I make the Backup/Restore include ALL my desktop preferences?

I don't think it's possible to restore a previous session but you can:

- Set in /home/dsl/.fluxbox/init "session.screen0.workspaces:" to 8
- Add

for each Shell you need to /home/dsl/.xinitrc
- Add # at the beginning of the fluxter line in /home/dsl/.xinitrc

DSL does backup everthing that is in your home directory that is a file or directory. Exceptions are in .xfiletool.lst It cannot backup actions that you may have performed, nor state. Actions would need to be specified via files as Selim has correctly shown.
