HD Install :: installation does work but no loader

i can install dsl on HD but when i boot my system it starts windows
and not grub is there anyway to boot a boot loader from cd?

Thats exactly the same problem i am getting i install but when it says

Do you Want to install a boot loader y/n

and i say y and it just exits the windows and i though that was it it was installed and restared and it did not boot dsl

Make sure you have partitioned your hdd properly first, install DSL+grub on the target partition, then set your bios to boot off it.
