HD Install :: Installing DSL on P-III

Hi all,
I am new to Linux. My PC P-III with 800 MHZ is running on XP, but its CD-ROM drive has gone faulty, & currently I am in no mood to replace it....Pls can nebudy help me to install DSL on my PC, I hv 4 partitions:
1) C:     WIN XP
2) D:
3) E:
4) F:

Pls also let me know which all files to download from DSL site to install.

There is a script which allows for a network frugal install in the download section.  It requires the toms rescue disk (a boot floppy full of useful tools and resources) and two partitions and a blank floppy.  I am not sure where the procedures are for doing the install this way but if you look in the wiki or do a search on the forum for network install there should be some info.

Here is a link in the wiki:

You could also download the ISO and use a tool (like daemon tools) to mount the iso and extract the contents then boot from floppy.

Use someone elses system to install to a usb drive. borrow an external drive and boot from floppy.  Purchase a preinstalled usb drive from DSL.
