HD Install :: /bin/sh: line1: /dev/tty1: Permission denied

hi
i install DSL 2.4 into my HDD as debian...

During the boot proces up to the line where it said:
Running from hd, regenerating ld....
...
Loading /usr/share/keymaps/i386/qwerty/us.kmap.gz

/bin/sh: line1: /dev/tty1: Permission denied
/bin/sh: line1: /dev/tty1: Permission denied
/bin/sh: line1: /dev/tty1: Permission denied
/bin/sh: line1: /dev/tty1: Permission denied
/bin/sh: line1: /dev/tty1: Permission denied
/bin/sh: line1: /dev/tty1: Permission denied
INIT: Id"1" respawning too fast: disable for 5 minutes
INIT: no more processes left in this runlevel

after that it just hang there...
i wonder if this problem created during when DSL 1st boot up and ask for root and dsl users password but instead of typing a password i just ENTER....

Please give me some hints on how to overcome this problems
many thanks.

I have not seen this error since I stopped playing with modems. I do the same thing for the passwords. So that is not the issue.

The file looks like it got corrupted, re install DSL. Even though there are newer versions I have found that I like the 2.2 flavors, they just work with my pc's.

Good Luck :)
