You can add the toram to menu.lst

You don't need to re-install DSL. You can try it.
If you add toram to menu.lst, DSL image will take 50MB of your RAM. You will have 46MB left.
Performance will depend on your HDD speed. I can not tell you exactly, its performance will be better or not.
At least, DSL has more room to run, if you use more MB for swap. It can help you when you run more application.

I knew I must have been attempting to edit the correct file - by the way my head so perfectly fit the growing dent in the wall. <Grrrr.> Now, you've gone and challanged me to edit the one on the ramdisk anyway. Maybe later, must sle e e e p.

I just success install DSL 3 on my laptop Sony PCG- 505G from syslinux.iso by Frugal Install.I want to edit GRUB menu. Beaver dont allow to save menu.lst since open and edit under superuser. And also emelfm i cant change permission to edit this file. It seem read only permission to all application such as firefox, I also cant config preference menu. Does anyway to change DSL prmission?
