HD Install :: question about installing on harddrive

does anybody know a good site or doc somewhere with step by step or very easy instruction for a newbie to linux

Don't know if you want to spend the money, $25 for the DSL book, but I thought these books where good. There are lots of free sites also but it takes a little work finding the ones that meet your needs.
