HD Install :: GUI Mount tool not changing when I...

I'm using DSL 2.2 on an IBM ThinkPad 380XD, and it's wonderful, I'm loving it

But the mount/unmount tool in the GUI does not change when I mount/unmount drives.
Can anyone help with this?

There also does not seem to be a CDROM option.
Is there a config file I can edit to add this option?

And... running Mount Tool how root?
Perhaps Mount Tool running how user not have permission for mount that device.
If is so you needs make CDROM an device "user" mountable adding the option "user" to the list of options in /etc/fstab
