HD Install :: Unable to boot cd

for some reason it is not loading ... is there a windows program to make a linux partition ?

can i load it from the cd (and maybe install it) on a computer without any OS

ok , nevermind what i previously said , since the computer without the OS is an old computer i'll use the ****-syslinux iso and see if it will run and i'll try to install it..

I am new to DSL. I am having an issue with the DSL 2.2: it hangs at "Autodetection". The green progressbar works about 1/4 of it's length then everything freezes.
The system I am trying to set it up on is an old AMD K6-2 at 300 Mhz with 128 MB of RAM and 850 Meg harddrive. I have experimented with DSL in a vmWare machine with an 800 Meg virtual disk and it was OK.

Can't even see a log. What happens ?
