HD Install :: DSL install over Kubuntu?

so can I just use the install script on the CD to install over Kubuntu?

too much for my old PC and DSL runs soo much better, do I have to cfdisk the partions and make new ones?

thanks for the help...im new but im learning :)

Bump!

plese can some one answer my question?

Do some searching around this forum, the wiki and/or the blog area and I'm sure you'll find your answer.

It's been my experience with doing Frugal installs that the script will format the partition. I can't see where it would hurt for you to format the partition first if that's what you're worried about. Remember that DSL needs to boot from a ext2 partition but the /home or /opt partitions can be something other then ext2.

You may want to divide your Ubuntu partition up so that you can have a small partition for the cd image of dsl and then a larger area for a /home and /opt directory.

I know there is some documentation on the different scripts (with screen prints) but I'm currently using a very slow connection so you'll have to find them yourself.  I did manage to find some other documentation on the wiki before my connection started to die. So here's a start:
