I have a problem because my laptop is too old to boot from the CD. Its a Toshiba Satellite Pro 430CDS, yes its real old circa 1995. Does anyone know a way around this? I've looked into preinstalling a bootloader but I have no clue how to do it, google hasn't even helped. I have GRUB 0.97. I think it is precompiled.boot from floppy

Also, if I want to install the DSL apps. on my h/drive, do I re-partition the (500MB) drive using WIN98 FORMAT prog., (allocating 50MB for DSL), or a Linux format prog.? Is 36MB memory, and Pentium o/drive adequate h/ware, as claimed in the LinuxUser mag? Thanks.
