HD Install :: Can't find KNOPPIX

didnt boot from usb, booted using disk but loaded from usb. sorry, i was unclear.

On my Sony Vaio I had to use 'dsl ide2=0x180' because it didn't know where the pcmcia-based cdrom drive was. I found that solution somewhere in this forum, too. It probably isn't your problem, but it worked in my specific instance. Using the boot cd and a usb drive will also work, though.

And never, never use the 'toram' boot parameter when doing a hard drive install. I found that out the hard way.
