HD Install :: I know this is a stupid question

I know this is a stupid question and i'll probably be flamed for this but i just want to be sure.

Is it safe for me to frugal grub install dsl on a /dev/hda2 while running embedded linux inside windows?

I don't see why it should be a problem. The only thing I would be worried about is the bootloader (grub). I don't run embedded, so I can't say for sure. The best way to find out would be to try!
