HD Install :: compaq 1220

having issues with display........ trying to get dsl up and running on an old compaq presario 1220 laptop..... boots fine but not displaying properly........ anyone have any input for resolution dpi etc on these macheens?

is it that the resolution you're trying to use is too big? I'm using and old compaq armada 1592DMT and it's max resolution is 800x600 with 16 bit color, if I try anything higher it doesn't display properly
