HD Install :: just to make sure..



When I install DSL on my windows XP computer, does it automagically install lilo with it, and make me able to choose which one to boot, XP or DSL?

I have xp on hda1.

Yes,

1. before you install dsl ensure you make a empty partition or fat32 pairtion so the cfdisk from the dsl cd will use that...dont try to resize a ntfs parition with cfdisk...bad things happen (use www.ultimatebootcd.com to resize the ntfs drive)

2. Yes it should auto detect that xp is installed and give an option of dual booting (it will have a lilo bootloader and not the winboot loader)
