HD Install :: Messed up HD install

Apparently I messed up the HD install and now upon loading I get "Can't locate module minix". How can I undo the HD install or fix this problem?

the module minix usually indicates that a partition is labeled one thing but formatted for something else. Example you made a swap partition type 82 but never ran mkswap. Or you made an extra partiton for linux type 83 but forgot to format it. Usually this is not a problem
