HD Install :: that swap partition...

Hello guys,
I've run into this wee problem while repartitioning my 20gigs hd:
Everyone know about the nifty status bar at the bottom right of the screen? Well it says nothing about the swap partition. Before I fiddled with cfdisk, there was one, then I messed it up so I remade one but now it won't appear at all.
Now I feel a little dumb because I don't even remember how to properly partition my hd, and also because 96 megs of ram eventually won't be enough!

So if I'm ready to start from scratch, what can I do to partition the hd properly this time?
