USB booting :: Lexar  JumpDrive 256MB

hi;
i did try to reparameter the key but some how i can not format the second drive sda2
is the command is mk2fs /dev/sda2 ???
i can format with mkdosts /dev /sda1
did i do anything wrong?
i have lexar jumpdrive secure256mb by follow this

and second how do i setup the modem and also the dial up connection.
