USB booting :: crashing on kernel boot

hello!
i am ivo, and old dsl user who came back, i used to have a username here called ivo...
anyway, i burned the great dsl into my usb stick, wich is a C-Media 128MB I-DISK, ad it booted fine...
but when i get tux, and the flashing rectangle, the rectangle flashes about 4 times then stops flashing. the thing crashes.
i tried toram, failsafle, vga=normal, expert, and nothing worked.
help!
