USB booting :: Download/Burning procedure

I used the "bootable data disk" just that one time, the first time. I have about 5 or 6 new cup coasters, tee hee ! Still doesn't work. I have 'Knoppix v3.6" on CD and that boots just fine but I could never get my modem set up in it.
