USB booting :: USB Flashdrives that will boot

Lets make a list of usb devices that will boot, like the wireless netcard list.

Lexar JumpDrive - 64mb USB1.1 - Boots

AVB 64mb - USB1.1 - Will not boot

Apacer 128mb - USB 2.0 - Will not boot.

Does Compact Flash count? It's attached via USB.

USB boot successful using the following:

Aiptek Pocket DV II 1.3 Megapixel camera VM-1L
128MB Compact Flash

Sandisk Cruzer Micro 128MB - Boots on a Dell PC (Optiplex GX260 w/BIOS update, Optiplex GX270, Poweredge 400SC w/BIOS update).

I just picked up a Lexar 128 meg USB 1.1 and booted from it with no problems.

I installed via the right click menu: Install to USB drive.

worked like a charm!

"SilverPearl" 256Mb USB 2.0 from www.CnMemory.de does NOT boot.
