USB booting :: USB boot problems

Hi all. I have followed these instructions for my 256 MB lexar, but i still can't boot of the usb stick. However, if i boot from the cr and use the command line "dsl fromhd=sda1" i can continue the boot off the stick. If i try to boot off the stick itself and turn off all other boot options except for my usb device in bios, after a few seconds after it finds the bootloader, my old winxp boot menu appears (weird since i have lilo installed as the main bootloader). Any thoughts?

1. Does your motherboard support booting from USB in the bios?
What are the options available ?

2. What are your USB bios settings ? USB-ZIP ? USB-FDD? USB-HDD? Which ones have you tried ?

3. Do you have a USB-legacy or USB-keyboard option in you bios?

4. Does the key boot from any other motherboards ?

5. Do any other keys boot from your own motherboard ?

Hi. I haven't had the chance to try a different computer yet, but my current machine supports alot of usb devices. When i boot, i hit F8 and i see the device USB-FDD is available, which is what i chose.

Most everyone posting here has their keys working by using the
USB-ZIP or sometimes the USB-HDD options as the bios settings for boot.

And the USB-keyboard or USB-legacy options should be enabled
if your bios offers them..
