"DMA" aceleration is turned on for a device (hard drive or CDROM) that doesn't work properly with DMA.Well I can only assume that dsl is not liking my usb stick very much because I got flash-puppy to work just fine. Must be a knoppix thing as feather linux also gave me cloop errors. From the look of the errors it can't properly read the compressed knoppix/knoppix file. Too bad

Also,
I have seen cloop errors when:
"DMA" aceleration is turned on for a device (hard drive or CDROM) that doesn't work properly with DMA.
Why would DMA on a cd-rom drive matter? It's booting from the usb key. Sorry but I don't understand that...I didn't say that "DMA" was YOUR problem.
Just that DMA problems can cause cloop errors (which is true).
I guess I could state things better by being more generic:
cloop errors can be caused by any situation where DSL is unable to properly read the contents of the cloop file (in your case, stored on the USB key)
Why does this happen to you?
If I knew why, I would tell you but I don't know.check md5sum of the iso.Next Page...
